Coaching Shuffle

The Aylmer Spitfires would like to welcome Michael Woolley as the new Head Coach for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

This will be Mike’s 2nd season behind the Spitfires bench, only this year he will be replacing Dylan Thomas as the head coach, as Dylan has decided to step aside to take on an advisory role with the team.

Growing up in St Thomas, Mike played the majority of his minor hockey for the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. He also has over 200 games of Junior experience including seasons with the Strathroy Rockets, London Nationals and the St Thomas Stars. Mike has taken his playing experience and transformed his passion for the game from player to coach. Prior to coaching with Aylmer, Mike spent the last 4 years learning and growing as a coach in the St Thomas Minor Hockey system.

Mike brings a tremendous amount of passion and dedication to the rink and he is excited to have Derek Folkard return as assistant coach, along with Dylan Thomas in his new role as assistant coach this year.
