Terry Walters Joins the Aylmer Spitfires Coaching Staff as Head Coach for the 25/26 season
The Aylmer Spitfires are proud to welcome Terry Walters to the bench for the 2025/26 season. Terry joins the organization after two seasons as an assistant coach with the Strathroy Rockets in the GOJHL, working under Head Coach Jason Williams. During his time there, Terry played a key role in developing some of the region’s top young hockey talent, helping athletes advance to the OHL, NCAA, and Junior A levels.
Now, he brings that same passion and experience to the Spitfires.
“I’m extremely excited to join the Spitfires organization and continue helping young athletes reach their goals—whatever they may be,” said Walters. “My mission is to help each player reach the next level, and to build a team that competes hard, plays the game the right way, and earns everything through grit and togetherness. We’re aiming for the top of the Yeck Conference—and beyond.”
Terry brings a high-performance mindset, a strong work ethic, and a diverse coaching background that goes beyond hockey. He has coached elite NCAA and USPORT athletes at the College Gridiron Showcase in Texas, as well as top-tier talent in the CJFL with the London Beefeaters, and high-performance track and field athletes.
His coaching philosophy is rooted in discipline, character, and commitment. “I believe in playing the game the right way. When you do the little things right, play as a team, and buy into the culture—we give ourselves a chance to be great. That’s when the hockey gods reward you.”
Fans can expect to see a focused, hard-working, and blue-collar Spitfires team take the ice this season. “We’re going to be a team no one wants to play against. This organization has worked hard to rebuild post-pandemic, and I plan to bring the community a team they can be proud of.”
With grit, character, and a family-first culture as its foundation, the 2025/26 Spitfires are ready to make some serious noise.
Time to fly high, Spits Nation. Let’s go!
